Freedom of Expression. Free Speech. As a reminder, The Sonoran Truth originated to give Cave Creek Citizens an opportunity to rebut and counter the disparaging opinions and articles printed in the Sonoran News. Sorchych and his Sycophants did not just attack political public figures, but common folk in Cave Creek who either expressed an opinion in opposition to Don’s or wanted an entitlement, or questioned the direction the Town was heading under the leadership of the previous counsel and the management of Usama Bin Abujbarah.
Ah but criticizing Don Sorchych or his public figure sycophants or his political slate is the equivalent of satirizing the Prophet Muhammad to Muslim Terrorists. John Hoeppner and Steve La Mar can dish it out but they can’t take it. Question John’s integrity or Steve’s perversions, and John and Stevie threaten legal retaliation. Granted, bullets aren’t flying, but John and Stevie a/k/a light in the loafers La Mar sure know how to serve up the Bullsh*t.
We think Vice Mayor Adam Trenk said it best in retaliation to Hoeppner’s innuendos:
“I thought about a point by point retort but I find it senseless to play chess with a pigeon. Regardless of the validity of any facts offered or the strength of my arguments highlighting the absurdity and malice evident in your missive, you would undoubtedly proceed to knock the pieces down, take a dump on the board and flap around triumphantly.
“Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.” -Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.”
Hoeppner can’t figure out that the Sonoran Truth is the voice of Cave Creek. Anyone can write for the blog, and many have. He thinks that there’s a Wizard of OZ pulling the campaign strings for Durkin, Monachino, Spitzer and Trenk. What a joke. Why just last week we were taking these councilmen to task for doing too little, too late, to stem the corruption caused by Usama and Sorchych over the last 15+ years. The Sorchych Sycophants (a/k/a the “SS”) claim that the councilmen now facing recall did something dirty and underhanded in dumping Usama. Really? That’s a lawsuit in the process of being adjudicated. As such, the accusation made by the Sorchych Sycophants is not ripe for a recall election. Let’s hear what the Judge says about Usama’s rights before wasting our time and resources on recalling elected officials.
Simple logic, but obviously too complex for the likes of the Sorchych slate. For the SS, 3+2 equals blue. And thus the pigeons like Hoeppner and La Mar flap their wings, poop on the Town and claim their message is righteous. Wrong. We fail to understand how pigeon poop will improve our community. To mount a legitimate recall, elected officials must engage in a wrong doing. In this instance, there has been no wrong doing. The SS filed a recall based purely on personality- Sorchych doesn’t like Trenk and by proxy, the three other council members who voted to oust Usama. That’s it. That’s the dirty deed which Usama bin Abujbarah sought relief in Court. Don and his sidekicks are looking to circumvent the rule of law. If a Judge determines that Usama’s “at will” contract has no tenure and he can be sacked at any time, with or without cause, then Donny and his band of wimps ought best to find somewhere else to cause trouble. Cave Creek doesn’t need them- no matter how hard they flap their wings and poop all over the place.
