The Other Vannucci Got It Right- sort of

A Sonoran Truth Editorial, October 23, 2013.

Kudos to John Vannucci for telling it like it is. Rodney Glassman has been a huge disappointment. Rodney appears to be a spoiled rich kid without a sail or a rudder floundering about in the sea of politics slowing sinking in his own stupidity.

He could have been a champion. He could have come into Town riding a white horse and cleaned house—if he knew how. But truth is, he doesn’t. Glassman is just a poser, a wanna be. Failure is a natural process for improving the species, be it biological or political.

We take exception however, to Carrie Dyrek being the most qualified to manage Cave Creek. First Carrie is suspect. It appears that Carrie was complicit in massaging the minutes over the last decade to support Usama / Sorchych and the sycophants. She routinely cow-towed to Bentley’s FOIA requests and then hassled or procrastinated filling others. Third, we don’t think Carrie has the temperament to be Town Manager—maybe after someone with some conviction to clean house has put Town Hall in order, then Carrie could come in a maintain it, but for now, Carrie’s only knows how to manage a town corruptly. John appears to be appeasing his wife’s desire to become the Queen Bee of Cave Creek and replacing control of the Town from one newspaper publisher for another doesn’t solve the problem, just changes the players.

Remember—it was the no growth advocacy that created the mess we are in today. Marsolo, Meeth, and Stanfield were all supporters and friends with Sorchych and Bentley. But for their friendship and support, Sorchych would not have become the Tyrant of Cave Creek. It appears that Marsolo, Meeth, and Stanfield have now thrown in their lot with the Desert Foothills Chronicle and John is championing Carrie to be the Town Manager in déjà vu fashion of Stanfield nominating Usama. Seemed like a good idea at the time with awful consequences. Just sayin’…
