To Right a Wrong

A Sonoran Truth Editorial, August 19, 2015.

The fix is in. The Town Council of Corrupt Creek voted 7-0 to pay Usama $300,000 to end his frivolous lawsuit for a grand total cost of ~$525,000. The lawsuit is frivolous because Usama had an “at will” employment contract. “At will” means that he serves “at the will” of the elected council. Usama refused to comply with the wishes of the new council two years ago and was terminated. The Town’s prior law firm was responsible with Usama for causing many of the Town’s current woes so they dragged their feet and ran up the bill for providing half-ass legal services.

Usama is a felon. He destroyed Town property to conceal his numerous wrong doings and then campaigned to unseat the “Trenk Slate” which was never a slate and never acted with any testosterone except for axing Usama. Usama violated numerous laws in collecting signatures for the recall but the Trenk Slate did nothing. They deserve their ignominious place in Arizona history.

But Spin Doctor Steve LaMar is attempting to rewrite history. What’s unethical, immoral, and legally wrong is to pay Usama anything, and to pave the way for him to come back as Town Manager. The only salvation is this instance, is that now the racketeers will have to fix their screw ups or they’ll bankrupt the Town and institute a property tax to cover up their mistakes. Of course, they’ll call it “the right thing to do.”
