Oh Happy Day

Sorchych and his sycophants think they won. This race hasn’t even started. We run from the back of the pack.

1 Corinthians 5:2 “And you are arrogant! Ought you not rather to mourn? Let him who has done this be removed from among you.”

This verse is intended not only for Don but for Adam as well- that he learn that his arrogance caused his defeat. That by not listening to the stakeholders vested in his corner, he brought damage not only to himself, but to all of us. Pride goeth before a fall. Proverbs 16:18. Not only did Trenk and his Slate fall, but Don and his minions are going to fall for the same reasons.

Let him who is without sin cast the first stone. John 8:7.

Sorchych and his sycophants are hardly without sin. The sobering reality is aptly explained by John Vannucci in the Foothills Chronicle: Newsbulletin 8 FINAL

Sorchych and his sickos caused the current mess in the previous administrations. Let them repair the roads; fix the water and sewer; purchase open space; preserve rural / equestrian zoning; and pay down the $60 Million debt without creating property tax. Hypocrites. All this conservative posturing and they spent money like drunken democrats. They can figure out how to reduce a bloated $17 Million dollar operating budget; they can repair damaged washes after next flood season, and finally they can deal with the lawsuits caused by their corruption, their arrogance, their failure to follow state and federal law as if Cave Creek was their own private fiefdom.

Sorchych lines out his agenda: http://www.sonorannews.com/archives/2015/150311/myview.html

First, he wants to rid Cave Creek of Dickinson Wright. We’ve been saying this for years. Don doesn’t like Dickinson and Wright because they filed damning motions against Usama. Bentley claimed these motions were frivolous. Hardly.

“Oh what a tangled web we weave, When first we practise to deceive! Sir Walter Scott, Marmion, Canto vi. Stanza 17. Usama and Birnbaum were thick as thieves. Usama’s incompetence and malfeasance was clearly exposed in the election. Nothing has changed.

Had the “Trenk Slate” had the huevos, they would have fired Dickinson Wright right after terminating Usama. But Durkin’s arrogance prevented this. Thanks Mike. The Town could have hired Noel Hebets, Bernard Buffenstein, or Michael Wright of Carefree to serve as our Town Attorney. Better service and much cheaper. Trenk couldn’t get his Slate to budge. Once elected, they rested on their laurels. Instead of doing the dirty work, we got fancy horse statutes and Rodney Glassman. What were these guys thinking?

Sorchych and his psychos now want to unravel all commissions. Absent in His View is any mention of Usama. We presume this will be the first order of business, that Donny’s Boy will be reinstated. And that’s fine. Better to deal with the devil we know that a stooge like Jankowski. Again, another failing of the Trenk Slate.

Sorchych chides Francia for doing his Buddhist Bookie shuffle. Don and Vince are like a sick marriage where Don is always harping on Vince but Vince always does Don’s bidding. Just like we need new lawyers, and a new manager, we need a new Mayor.

These past 18 months were filled with hype and delusion amidst some progress. But if you’re going to leap a chasm, don’t do it with half measures. What we got was too little, too late. Hopefully, we’ve learned from our mistakes.

Let’s set our sights on 2016 with some reservations. Don and his idiots may have sunk the Town. Think Detroit. Cave Creek may be so badly broken it can’t be fixed, and that may not be a bad thing. If there is no other alternative but implementing a property tax to pay down the largest debt in the state per capita, then it’s time to rid Cave Creek of Sorchych influence and look to a neighboring municipality for annexation. Carefree operates on a budget of $5.2 Million. Don and Usama bloated our budget to $17.2 Million. If this were a business, logic would demand a reverse merger.

Thanks to Sara Vannucci for inspiring this article and adding insight to its content. Sara’s response: “Bravo! Your finest hour. The first public statement that the emperor had no clothes in spite of much bombast. I gratefully accept your accolade. I will now forward this to everyone I know.”

Yet when asked whether she still thought her disclaimer was necessary… http://www.desertfoothillschronicle.org/aboutus.html… her response was: “Yes, not because we don’t trust you, but other “voices” are surfacing.”
