Steve, and his sidekick, the Madman Tom McGuire changed residential zoning into intense commercial zoning for Wal Mart. McGuire wants Cave Creek to be mainstream suburban Phoenix. Carefree Highway is the next Bell Rd.
Steve sounds like a Southern Cracker lambasting the end of segregation—that Trenk is a carpetbagger coming to destroy the quaint gentility of Cave Creek. WTF? Cave Creek’s core is a bunch of bars and dead tourist shops. Cave Creek needs traffic to generate sales tax. Upscale RV parks are one of the hottest development deals going right now. Wealthy retired people have expendable income. An upscale RV park would bring traffic to the bars and tourist shops generating sales tax revenue for the Town. Take a look at Tombstone. Tombstone is a thriving little tourist town. They embraced their history and their cash registers ring.
You and McQuire (along with Fascist Francia) are so stupid as to think that the only salvation for Cave Creek is more mendacity like Wal Mart. You must have bought your brain on a Blue Light Special. Take up knitting Steve. Or collecting stamps. Just don’t drool on them.
